Therapy Toronto: Psychotherapy Self-referral Service for Toronto and the GTA

Andre Turcotte MA, RP, LC, Member OSP

Talking helps. Talking works.

In fact, there is more and more research and evidence to support this. In talking, we create new neural pathways of discharge.

Talking to a trained professional adds to these benefits as someone who is not only neutral and without judgment, but is also well-versed and skilled in helping address a variety of issues that affect our quality of life.

People see me for a variety of reasons.

Perhaps they are experiencing some level of difficulty in their quality of life, in their work or romantic life or in family relations.

Very often people feel stuck or blocked. Therapy helps us to understand why we do and don't do certain things. Therapy helps to gently move us towards where we really want to go.

I am a Modern Analyst which means that I employ a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques (interpersonal, CBT, EMDR etc.), that allow me to tailor a treatment plan to the individual I am working with and their specific needs. This also allows me to adjust the treatment over time as the patient progresses.

I also offer both in person and virtual therapy via phone and video chat (Skype-Facetime). Many of the people I work with report actually preferring our virtual meetings. They benefit from being able to meet me wherever they are, it saves them transportation time, they can meet when it is convenient or can't 'come in' because they are sick or not feeling well enough to venture out.

For many people making the first call is the hardest part, but you do not have to do it alone, I am here to help.

Please call to arrange your first appointment and I look forward to hearing from you.
